Lewandowski scored the quickest Bundesliga hat-trick (four minutes). Then set a new record for four goals in the same match. And then did likewise for five, too.
He became the first Bundesliga substitute to score more than a hat-trick.
The Pole scored the fastest five-goal haul in a major European league since Opta started recording stats.
He was one short of Dieter Muller's Bundesliga record of six goals in a game, when Cologne beat Werder Bremen 7-2 in 1977.
Lewandowski is the third Bayern player to score five in a game - Gerd Muller did so three times, and Dieter Hoeness once.
And the runs he ended...
Wolfsburg were aiming for a fifth consecutive clean sheet
They were going for a 15th game without defeat - which would have equalled their record
Wolfsburg were halfway to a first win at Bayern in 22 attempts. They have lost 21 of those games.
Maybe the greatest touch map you'll ever seeLewandowski said: "This was just crazy. Five goals, that's just unbelievable. I just wanted to shoot and wasn't thinking about what happened afterwards. I am very, very satisfied. This was a great evening for me.
"I look up at the board after the third or fourth goal and I was surprised there was still so much time left to play. The coach did not have to tell me anything. I knew what had to be done."
Boss Pep Guardiola said: "This is something I have never experienced before. Five goals in nine minutes. Robert has been a great player in Germany and the world for some time now.
"I am very happy for Robert. For his confidence and our future this was extremely important.
"I can't really understand it. Five goals. Neither as a coach nor as a player did I ever experience something like this and I can't really explain it. Five goals against Wolfsburg are never easy."

Schneiderlin: We’re gonna (try) and win the league
Morgan Schneiderlin has said Manchester United want to win the Premier League title this season, while the Frenchman has hailed Anthony Martial.
Manchester United sit behind only Manchester City in the current Premier League table after six games, with only two points separating them from their neighbours. French midfielder Schneiderlin says the current Old Trafford crop are targeting the title after their impressive start.
http://matsiden.com/images/html/predatorpredito.asphttp://www.sportsartfitness.nl/magistafootball.asp
http://brandweerkollum.nl/language/hypervenomoriginal.asp
“We have made a good start and it would have been even better had we not dropped points against Newcastle and Swansea,” said Schneiderlin.
“We want to win this title and if we stay strong and keep progressing during the season anything is possible.”
Schneiderlin’s comments are in direct contrast with that of manager Louis van Gaal at the weekend, with the Dutchman claiming the club have made a “statement” that they can aim for the title, but going on to claim you “cannot expect” the current side to maintain their challenge.
http://www.ecentricmedia.co.uk/cr7specialedition.asphttp://accsept.org/user/mercurialfireberry.asp
http://kennicon.com/wp/duurstevoetbalschoenen.asp
Schneiderlin also reserved praise for £36.7million (not £56.7million) man Anthony Martial, who has scored three goals in his opening two games in the Premier League.
Martial arrived from Monaco with the heavy burden of the most expensive teenager in football history, but an excellent solo goal against Liverpool and a double at Southampton has seen him adapt to the English game far quicker than expected.

http://vluggen.com/page/hypervenomphantom.asp
“Nobody really knew Anthony before he came to England but now they know more about him,” Schneiderlin said. “It is good for him because he is a guy who can handle this situation. He came here, was relaxed and just wanted to show what he can do.
“You can see not just from his goals, but from his all-round performances, he makes good passes, has got composure and can run in behind,” Schneiderlin added while looking at Wayne Rooney with tangible regret.
“It is good for him because he is a guy who can handle this situation. He came here, was relaxed and just wanted to show what he can do.
“He is very good and is going to do a lot more in the future.
“He has settled in well,” Schneiderlin added. “He has his wife and his baby. He is very young but he is a family man.
“I try to help him as much as I can and my girlfriend does as well. We hang out together to make him feel a bit better. He is a very good guy so I am happy to have him in this football club.”

Around 1,000 Liverpool fans boycott Hull game
Around 1,000 Liverpool fans boycotted Tuesday night's away match at Hull City to protest about being charged £50 to attend.
The away end was sold out, but there were banks of empty seats at the KC Stadium as Liverpool fans showed their feelings.
Visiting fans' group Spirit of Shankly organised the boycott, and ahead of the match Hull boss Steve Bruce sympathised with supporters faced with increased ticket prices.
"I feel sorry for the supporters of big clubs who have to dig deep every week and I hope when the new TV money comes into play the Premier League can remember football does belong to supporters," he said.
"I know how difficult it is for people here at our club to find the money to bring their two kids to a football match and we have to make sure with all the money washing around we give something back to the fans.
"We have to remember the average man in the street because they are the lifeblood of football and I think if the Premier League set certain rules we would all have to abide by them."

Pavel Pogrebnyak will be involved for Reading's FA Cup semi-final after overcoming a calf complaint.
On-loan duo Nathan Ake and Kwesi Appiah are unavailable as they are cup-tied but fellow loanees Nathaniel Chalobah and Jamie Mackie can play.
Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere could make his first appearance after recovering from an ankle problem.
However, Mikel Arteta and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain are still not fit. Wojciech Szczesny will start in goal.
France defender Mathieu Debuchy may also be included in the squad again, having been out since January after needing shoulder surgery.
MATCH PREVIEW
There have been 24 goals in the last three meetings between Arsenal and Reading, which bodes well for the neutral as the Berkshire club taste their first FA Cup semi-final since 1927. You'd need to be very old and have a very good memory to recall that one (a 3-0 defeat to Cardiff at Molineux).
Arsenal only need short memories for something of a cautionary tale. Twelve months ago they were eight minutes away from being beaten by another Championship club, Wigan, at this stage. In the end Arsenal squeaked through on penalties to what was a record-equalling 18th FA Cup final.
There are big differences though - 12 months ago, rather than being on an eight-game winning streak, Arsenal had gone four games without a win - one of which had been a 6-0 defeat by Chelsea. Against Wigan, rather than having Olivier Giroud and Alexis Sanchez threatening their opponent's goal it was Lukas Podolski and Yaya Sanogo.
Reading haven't had an easy route to Wembley; they may not have faced Premier League opposition but they've been drawn away in every round and got the better of both Derby and Cardiff. They are all but safe in the Championship but haven't won a game since the quarter-final replay victory over Bradford City a month ago.
In the pugnacious Pavel Pogrebnyak and rumbustious Jamie Mackie they have strikers who are a handful on most days. Jordan Obita and Michael Hector are excellent defensive prospects, Nathaniel Chalobah - on loan from Chelsea - is a real presence in midfield and Garath McCleary and former Arsenal trainee Hal Robson-Kanu offer a threat from wide areas.
Arsenal will not take them lightly, but Reading boss Steve Clarke is probably correct when he says that his side will need to play "the perfect game" to win.

Paul Merson picks which Manchester City stars should leave in summer
Manchester City slipped to fourth in the Premier League on Monday evening following a 2-1 defeat at Crystal Palace, prompting questions over the futures of Manuel Pellegrini and many of his top stars.
Monday Night Football experts Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher insisted big changes need to be made at the club this summer and suggested that the ageing squad may need an overhaul.
So who should be kept and who should be chopped? We asked Soccer Saturday pundit Paul Merson to cast his eye over the squad and wield the axe...

PSG's Blanc revels in Champions League breakthrough
London (AFP) - Paris Saint-Germain coach Laurent Blanc declared that his team had "joined the big boys" after their potentially transformative victory over Chelsea in the Champions League last 16.
Silva's looping header, six minutes from the end of extra time, made the score 2-2 on the night and 3-3 on aggregate, taking PSG through on away goals, 11 months after they had lost to Chelsea by the same rule in the quarter-finals following another 3-3 draw.PSG overcame daunting odds at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday, losing Zlatan Ibrahimovic to a contentious first-half red card and twice falling behind, only to draw level on each occasion through centre-backs David Luiz, the former Chelsea player, and captain Thiago Silva.
"PSG really want to join the big boys and I think we did that tonight (Wednesday). I think the match will be a reference for the club for years to come," Blanc said.
"I know things go quickly. We'll try to appreciate this victory, this qualification. Then there'll be the draw for the quarter-finals and the pressure.
"We won't forget what we've done here. We did something good, but we didn't do something exceptional. We're in the quarter-finals, so we've done something, but you have to keep things in perspective."
